Will the CBC Simply Ignore the National Citizens' Inquiry?

The sooner we can defund that giant waste of money, the better

On December 20, I attended a news conference of the National Citizens’ Inquiry (NCI), the group spearheaded by Preston Manning to mount an independent inquiry into what Canada did wrong during the pandemic. The news conference was held online, which allowed me to see who else was in attendance. From the mainstream news networks, there were representatives of CPAC, Global News and CTV News. One reporter who asked a question identified herself as being from the Toronto Star. 

From the “alternative” media, I could see independent journalist Andy Lee, Rebel Media’s Tamara Ugolini, and Western Standard’s Matthew Horwood. Shortly afterward, Horwood’s article on the subject appeared here.   I noticed today that the Epoch Times carried coverage of the event in this article by Marni Cathcart. 

Noticeably absent, however, was any representative of the CBC. 

In fact, I spent some time today searching the CBC’s website to see whether I could find any mention at all about the National Citizens’ Inquiry. I couldn’t. Not a word—neither about yesterday’s event nor about earlier announcements that NCI has made. It looks as though the CBC plans to ignore the inquiry completely.  Heaven forbid that the CBC should carry any news suggesting that the government didn’t do a fabulous job!

In any event, don’t YOU ignore it, especially if you have expertise in certain subjects that would have made a difference as to how governments (at any level) reacted to the pandemic. I’d especially love to see witnesses come forward on the following subjects: 

1. what difference it would have made to deaths and hospitalizations if governments had not suppressed the use of repurposed drugs such as hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin; and

2. how many people might have been spared serious illness or death if the government had adopted and promoted adequate vitamin D levels among the population.
